BUS POSTERS

My churc, Keystone Church, is currently in a series called SUMMER BLOCKBUSTERS. It is a blast! We have been taking the big movies of the summer of 2005 and finding the meaning behind the movies.
Star Wars - Overcoming Your Darkside, War of the Worlds - Facing the Future without Fear, Batman Begins - Dealing with Your Past, and Fantastic Four - Building a Great Life Together. So when planning this fun series, our atmosphere team needed movie posters but regular posters were just not big enough. SO...EBAY to the RESCUE! I searched Ebay for big posters and found that you can search for any movie poster in the "Bus Terminal" size. All you do is add "Bus" to the search like this..."Batman Begins Bus Poster." They are 4x6 feet tall! They also have concert poster sin this size...even vintage ones. Click here to see the results for "bus posters" on Ebay. Enjoy!

ITunes Links

Have you ever heard a song on iTunes and told your friend about it but when they go to find it they can't? Well I found out the other day that you can now right click on the song and it will allow you to copy the "iTunes link" and you can send it to your friend. When they click on the link it opens up their iTunes player and immediately sends them to the song! COOL! Try this! Click here to listen to a new song that I can't get out of my head!

Wimpy

Are you a web designer? Do you ever wish there was media player that could easily incorporate into your website? Do you wish there was a media player that was easily updatable? Do you wish there was a media player that did not require plugins for the end-user? Well so DID I! Then I found the "Wimpy player." I know that name is not flattering but, man, this player is anything but wimpy...it is awesome. I have used this media player on our church website since May and it has really never given us any problems. See how it works for us (audio or av player) and you can check it out at www.wimpyplayer.com. The audio player is customizable with skins and you can even create playlists with xml files. The creators have even provided a simple program to allow you to create your own skins. The best part is how simple it is to use. All you do is drop your mp3's or flv files in the same folder the player is in on your server. The player also can read id3 tags! AND one mor ething...I just found out that the player will GENERATE a PODCAST or even play your podcast. The audio player costs $29.99 and the AV player costs $24.95. Check it out and let me know what you think!

TRUE GREEN LAWN BOY CHECK THIS OUT!!!

I am new home owner. My home was completed last November so my sod never seemed to really get to take root through the winter months. I never was a lawn guy but when spring came around I realized I had a ton of weeds. These were no little weeds...these weeds were HUGE!. So I went to Home Depot and bought some "Roundup Weed-killer." Well I had so many weeds...my whole yard was weeds, so when I used the Round-up I basically killed my whole yard. My yard looked HORRIBLE! So I called True Green. The guy came to my door and was pretty rude. In a few short words he told me lawn had no hope and that I needed to schedule a year of services with them to even get partly back. I declined. There was no way I would pay for that. He suggested that I try some fertilizer and water but It probably would not work so I'd better be a "praying man." Good news...I am a praying man! That all took place in May and now look at these pictures!!! Only 2 months later and my lawn looks great! I am so pleased. I know that "lawn boy" is out there and I want him to know that "prayer works!'

So you ask what did I do? Well, I followed a plan that I got from a friend who got it from a friend. This works!!! Don't waste your money on all the expensive lawn care...youc an do this and it does not take much effort. The key for me was to water a little each day. Here is the plan!!!

Use the same 3 products all year (1,2,3,3,2,1)
1.) Feb. 1st - 14th: Pre-Emergent 0-0-7 (.86%)
2.) 4 to 6 weeks after Pre-M: 18-2-3/9 (weed & feed)
3.) End of May: 24-5-11 (fertilize) ( *********I could only find 24-2-11)
4.) First of July: 24-5-11 (fertilize) ( *********I could only find 24-2-11)
5.) 4 to 6 weeks before Pre-Emergent: 18-2-3/9 (weed & feed)
6.) First week of Oct.: Pre-M 0-0-7 (.86%)

ENJOY!!! Brian

Keystone Church starts podcasting

My church, Keystone Church published its first podcast this past week. As I was setting it up, I found that is was difficult for an average internet surfer to subscribe to a podcast. It actually took me some time to even figure out what a podcast was and how a podcast worked. But after many hours of research I found a way to offer podcasting on our website in 3 easy steps. I admit that I did not come up with this on my own. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. I found it here. I simply used the code from that website and manipulated it to work for Keystone. So check it out and subscibe to our podcast! You can also find us in the iTunes directory or just search "keystone church" in the podcasts section. Oh yeah...you can also send an EVITE to invite a friend to listen/subscribe to the Keystone Podcast. ENJOY!

The Book of Daniel

NBC announced that they have picked up The Book of Daniel for 13 episodes. The show centers around an Episcopalian minister, played by Aidan Quinn, who finds himself conversing with a modern incarnation of Jesus to help him navigate family problems, church politics and his own nagging reliance on prescription painkillers. In other words, it really has nothing to do with the book of Daniel ... from relevantmagazine.com
